How to donate

There are currently three donation options in the School of Business, and they are: 

• School of Business in general
• School of Business International Student Exchange. Read more here.
• School of Business Ownership research and teaching area. Read more here.

Choose the donation option of your preference and join us in supporting the future success of the School of Business and its students! Every donation is valuable for us. Your donation will be used entirely for the purpose you have chosen.

Donor recognition

By donating at least 500 euros (one-off donation) as an individual, you will have the possibility of having your name carved into the Donors’ Wall. Donations of at least 850 euros per year can be directly deducted from your taxes (in Finland). By donating at least 1000 euros (cumulative donation) as an individual, you can have a chair named after you. 

In donations of 10 000 euros and more to the School of Business, please contact our Head of External Relations Jonna Söderholm (jonna.soderholm@aalto.fi). A deed of donation will be always drafted for donations of 10 000 euros or more. A donation of at least 10 000 euros to endowed funds (the School of Business in general and international student exchange) can also be made as a Named Donation. Read more here.

Tax deductions of donations

Individuals are eligible for tax deductions of donations to universities or other higher education institutions in Finland. Donations between 850 euros and 500 000 euros per year are deductible and the total donation sum may consist of separate installments. Read more on Finnish Tax Administration's website:

Fundraising permit

Aalto University has a fundraising permit granted by the National Police Board. The permit is valid throughout Finland, except for the Ã…land Islands. The number of the fundraising permit is RA/2020/1069.
