I'm a University Lecturer in Computer Science at Aalto University. My research is focused on two key areas: computing education research (CER) and natural language generation (NLG), and especially the intersection of the two.

While large language models (LLMs) are a significant part of my research, I'm also interested in other topics, such as rule-based natural language generation systems, the evaluation of natural language generation systems, student motivation, time-usage, attrition, etc. 

Finally, I'm interested in cross-disciplinary studies relating to (Generative) AI systems. Most recently, I have been involved in understanding the effects of AI systems on conceptions of "authorship". To this end, I have collaborated with scholars from media and journalism studies, social sciences, and legal studies.
