BSc and MSc students of the School of Business. Students of the bachelor's programme in International Business cannot choose this minor, they should choose the minor INTM-BIZM instead. Students of other Schools cannot choose this minor.

About the minor
Intended learning outcomes
The purpose of ​​the international minor is to include a study module that develops international skills as part of the degree and thereby build a strong international dimension into student’s professional profile. In addition to the academic content the modul developes language skills, multicultural competence and ability to independent work gained while studying and living abroad.
Content
The international minor is completed as a student exchange in one of the partner universities of School of Business or as so called free mover student in a study program abroad approved in advance by the School of Business and meeting the requirements of an official exchange program.Scope of the international minor is 24-36 ECTS. Please note, that BSc students are expected to complete 30 ECTS/semester and MSc students 24 ECTS/semester in the exchange programme.
- Maximum of 8 ECTS of the language and culture studies may be included in the minor
- For a justified reason, it is possible to complete the minor in Aalto University after the exchange with suitable studies. Completing the minor is agreed on as part of the credit transfer process and it is possible only if minimum of 18 ECTS of suitable studies for the minor is completed at the partner univeristy during the exchange. Suitable studies are e.g. courses in Intercultural Communication organized by the language center.

The international minor is composed as follows
- Minimum of 14 ECTS of substance studies* must be included in the minor
- Maximum of 10 ECTS of the language and culture studies may be included in the minor
- For a justified reason, it is possible to complete the minor in Aalto University after the exchange with suitable studies. Completing the minor is agreed on as part of the credit transfer process and it is possible only if minimum of 18 ECTS of suitable studies for the minor is completed at the partner univeristy during the exchange. Suitable studies are e.g. courses in Intercultural Communication organized by the language center.
* Substance studies referres to courses in the field of business or another field, e.g. intermediate or advanced studies, as a distinction of the language and culture studies.

International Minor includes studies completed abroad during student exchange, but in addition to this, exchange studies develop language skills, multicultural competence and ability to independent work. The extensive cooperation network of the School of Business includes high-quality exchange destinations around the world.
