Aalto-3: Student Satellite Project
Aalto‑3 is Aalto University’s sixth satellite, a next‑generation student‑built 1U CubeSat. The mission lowers barriers to space tech through hands‑on training and a standardized framework for future student projects. Building on previous Aalto satellite projects, it advances avionics and validates an in‑house S‑band radio, GNSS, radiation measurements, and Earth imagery.
Aalto-2 launch
Aalto-2 satellite was launched successfully to ISS orbit with Cygnus cargo freighter on top of Atlas V rocket on 18 April 2017 at 18:11.
Aalto-2: satellite for QB50 constellation
Aalto-2 satellite is a 2U CubeSat format satellite for the QB50 atmospheric measurement mission (qb50.eu).

Mission and Science Results
Aalto-1 satellite has finished its mission and deorbited. Although the satellite was built according to a student satellite concept, the scientific mission of the satellite was significant and contributed to space and space technology research in many areas.
